Este artigo visa comentar as hipóteses formuladas por Vladimir Vieira em O despertar do mito, concernentes à recepção das três trilogias de Star Wars e à relação de cada uma delas com o caráter mítico alcançado pela saga. Além disso, procura-se avaliar a importância de a última trilogia contar com uma protagonista mulher. Para tanto, o texto procura analisar brevemente o tratamento dado às personagens mulheres na franquia Star Wars em geral.

This article aims to comment on the hypotheses formulated by Vladimir Vieira in “O despertar do mito”, concerning the reception of the three Star Wars trilogies and the relationship of each of them with the mythical dimension achieved by the saga. In addition, it seeks to assess the importance of the fact that the protagonist of the last trilogy is a female one. To this end, the text seeks to briefly analyze the treatment given to female characters in the Star Wars franchise in general.
