O presente artigo buscou apresentar sucintamente algumas reflexões em torno das transformações modernas do regime de visualidade e, a partir daí, da formação do espectador moderno, tal como essas questões se colocam de forma significativa na poesia de Charles Baudelaire e na pintura de Édouard Manet. Essas reflexões foram suscitadas pela leitura do artigo A indeterminação em Manet, de Ricardo Fabbrini. Isto posto, o presente texto busca combinar o comentário livre do artigo de Fabbrini às reflexões sobre a constituição do espectador moderno por ele despertadas.

This article sought to succinctly present some reflections around the modern transformations of the regime of visuality and, from there, the formation of the modern spectator, just as these issues arise significantly in the Charles Baudelaire’s poetry and the Édouard Manet’s painting. These reflections were prompted by reading the article Indeterminacy in Manet, by Ricardo Fabbrini. That said, this text seeks to combine the free commentary of Fabbrini's article with the reflections on the constitution of the modern spectator that he awakened.
